Submission Guidelines

Submit a Readers Guide for a chance to win a signed copy of 1001 Books for Every Mood .

Guidelines--

• Pick a book* from the titles in 1001 Boos for Every Mood.
• Your Readers Guides must contain ORIGINAL WORK, written by you, the submitter.
• By submitting a Readers Guide, you are agreeing to have it evaluated and are giving us PERMISSION TO POST it on the 1001 Books web site
• If selected, your Readers Guide it MAY BE EDITED before being posted on the web site.
• If selected, you'll hear from us within two weeks; we will contact you to find out where to mail your signed copy of 1001 Books for Every Mood

* Feel free to email Halie before you start working, to be sure that there is no Readers Guide already being developed for the book you've chosen..

Format --

To submit a Readers Guide, Include this information, in the body of an email message (do NOT send as an attachment) to Hallie’s email address posted on this web page.:
1. Your name
2. Your email where we can contact you
3. Title of the book for which you have created a Readers Guide
4. Overview (3-6 paragraphs summarizing the book but not giving away the plot)
5. Discussion questions (8-20 questions to stimulate discussion among readers; if you use quotations from the book, please provide a page number and the edition you are quoting from)
6. About the author (a paragraph or more of interesting information about the book's author)
7. If you liked this book (3-8 books that you would suggest to readers who like this book)
8. About yourself (a paragraph or two of information we can post with you Readers Guide that tells about you -- where you live, what you do, if you're in a book group, and provide a link if you your own web site or blog)
